In 2007, Haerishton moved to Smiths Falls to work as a veterinary technician at Lanark Veterinary Clinic, and occasionally at Carleton Veterinary Service, while completing the National Board Exams and receiving his Certificate of Qualification in 2013. In 2008 Haerishton married Vera Yonah Lima, they now have their son Benjamin, their daughter Sarah and of course their family dog: Candy, to help keep them busy. In July of 2015 Haerishton and his wife Vera purchased Carleton Vet Services and Lanark Vet Clinic where they work together to provide excellent care to the communities they serve.
Dr. Jamie Wicks
Dr. Jamie Wicks
Dr. Wicks has joined our clinics from the East Coast/Newfoundland! It was there that he graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown, PEI. Dr. Wicks has that classic genuine good-natured personality that makes you feel like you’re talking with a friend.
After graduation, Dr. Wicks spent time working in both urban/emergency and rural settings before moving to Ontario. His special interest areas include senior pet care and soft tissue surgery. He is also passionate about low stress handling for his patients in every aspect of their visit to the clinics. You can count on Dr Wicks to take the time needed to get to know you and your pet, fully explain any issues he sees with your pet, and come up with a plan that fits both you and your pet’s needs.
Outside of working at the clinics Dr. Wicks spends time perfecting his chef skills, exploring Ontario sights and caring for his Maine Coon cat “Atlas” who has as much affection for him and he does them!
Dr. Nicole Hutchings

Dr. Nicole is passionate about creating long-lasting bonds with her patients and clients, and her clinical interests include neurology, internal medicine, and feline medicine. She makes it a priority to complete comprehensive clinical examinations and listen to client’s thoughts and concerns.
When she is not caring for your 4-legged friends, she enjoys gymnastics, hiking, camping, slacklining, and ice baths. She shares her home and heart with her partner and 4 rescues – a Golden Retriever named “Cookie” and three domestic shorthairs named “Tarzan”, “Jane”, and “Rainforest”.
Dr. Natalia Kravech
Dr. Natalia Kravech
Dr. Natalia was born and raised in Mexico City. She graduated from Veterinary School in 2016 from “Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico (UNAM).” She then perused an internship and residency at the UNAM teaching hospital where in 2020 she obtained her degree as a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Specialist. She has been practicing veterinary medicine in Canada since 2020.
Dr. Oscar Guizar
Dr. Oscar Guizar
Dr. Oscar was born and raised in Mexico City. He graduated from Veterinary School in 2016 from “Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico (UNAM)”. He worked as a general practitioner in Mexico City for a couple of years, and then perused his surgical internship at “Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center”. In 2020 he decided to move to Canada where he has been practicing veterinary medicine ever since.
Dr. Morgan McKay
Dr. Morgan McKay
Dr. Morgan McKay received a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2020 from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph. Additionally, she acquired specialty training with the Veterinary Chiropractic Learning Centre in her last year of studies to where she became certified in Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy (VSMT a.k.a. animal chiropractic) to be able to provide chiropractic adjustments, when appropriate, on her patients.
After graduating, Dr. McKay returned to her home town of Ottawa, Ontario and started her career in equine medicine, doing both general practice and VSMT on horses. Additionally, she developed an affinity for performing VSMT in companion animals while working at small animal rehabilitation center. Her passion for integrative and alternative medicine lead her to complete further training in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine training with the Chi Institute.
Dr. McKay is committed to ensuring that all clients and patients receive specialized care by constantly seeking continuing education to ensure her patients have the most up-to-date treatment options. She is excited to be working with the teams at Carleton Veterinary Services and McNeely Animal Hospital to provide more comprehensive care to her small animal patients through general medicine as well as integrative and alternative modalities.
